The 'chirp' sounds when opened, lighting signal lights and activating the swirling moire display. This one is a little slow and not a great 'hypnotic' look, I think it has to do with the juxtaposition of the patterns above and below.

Like the Master Replicas model, the smaller unit works independently of the pistol grip. It has three sound settings from a recent upgrade Rich did while doing some repair work on it for me.

Before the more recent mass market replicas, 'garage' prop makers made some good and some not-so-good models of ST implements. Rich Coyle's phaser was one of the best.

Other than being on the small side, this is a really neat model of the science tricorder. The viewscreen lights up and there are three sound FX accompanied by flashing lights.

I always liked this view of the ship, made me think of a giant bug flying away. Ideally, this end of the engine nacelles would light up too but, hey, whatta ya want for twenty bucks? Sometime I hang it up by the hook I added to the saucer section and it looks like it's flying, ooohhh!

The premium prop replicas from TOS came from Master Replicas. My communicator's spinning moire quit working, I don't know if I can still get it repaired or not.

Weird, the Johnny Lightning brand, usually associated with die-cast cars, tagged on a series of Star Trek ships. Great detailed little models about 2" long.
